Powered by a passionate, skilled and dedicated team, we offer a comprehensive range of educational and therapeutic services for children from birth to age 21. In doing so, our practice is integrated with educational, social, behavioral and community programs.
We provide services in school and home settings, focusing on academic and life development goals. Through data collection systems, individualized behavior intervention plans, and differentiated education plans, our specialists support and monitor children’s learning and developmental progress, working continuously with parents, caregivers, and educators.
Our ESE specialists, behavior analysts and therapists place a strong emphasis on family and school collaboration and strive to provide support, encouragement and all necessary resources to help children overcome their developmental and learning challenges. With the right care and the help of a cohesive team, children can reach their full potential and lead fulfilling lives.
Amee B. Cohen OT /L is a practicing occupational therapist who has worked with children with special needs since 1986 and has earned the respect and admiration of thousands of families.
With her tireless drive and unrelenting passion, Amee has received a bachelor’s degree from the prestigious Temple University College of Allied Health and certification from the National Board of Occupational Therapy.
Amee supervises and closely monitors the services provided to each patient by AC&A. Her experience with teamwork, commitment to healthier childhoods and unique management style make Amee ideally suited to coordinate one of the most recognized pediatric therapy providers in the United States.

In 2010, Christian Katopodis, a former marketing and business executive with extensive experience in the healthcare, finance, advertising and IT sectors, joined our team to implement a new working model that has allowed us to expand AC&A in a continuous and sustainable manner, providing highly personalized services to schools and thousands of families in Florida.
In July 2019, we began developing our online consultation and teletherapy services to meet the needs of clients, families, and caregivers who were unable to commute and face hours of travel and wait times for services at a clinical site.
In early 2020, just prior to the COVID -19 pandemic, the AC&A video consultation system was piloted for a small group of clients. Our goal was to first train our therapists in this new model and then expand the online service to all clients who could benefit from the convenience and safety of counseling and therapy delivered over the Internet.
With the difficulties and limitations exacerbated by the pandemic, online therapy and counseling services also became the first option for most of our clients served at home, in schools, clinics, and assisted living facilities, so the transition to this Internet platform was quick and natural.
Thanks to this new AC&A online tool that optimizes time and overcomes distance barriers, we will soon be offering international video consultation and therapy services, making this platform available to clients around the world.
